WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Extensive research has proven the benefits of diversity. Multinational companies such as Ernst & Young, Deutsche Bank, and Bloomberg have come to the conclusion: with more perspectives at the table, the results we produce are stronger, more comprehensive, and drive a better return on investment.

Knowing this allows us to take action, and change the statistics: women comprise more than half of today’s college graduates, yet are underrepresented in management and executive positions. They comprise less than 3% of Fortune 500 CEOs, and make less than 80 cents for every dollar earned by their male counterparts. Now is the time to support women and men as they work together to address today’s challenges.

We at the World Innovation Institute knows that the more ideas are shared and heard, the more we will create lasting solutions and beneficial innovations. We encourage women to cultivate their skills and talents, and we actively support the equal participation of women in all industries.

In June 2011 Naveen Jain announced the selection of two exemplary women, Sharron McPherson & Emily Kuria, as Intelius Scholars to participate at Singularity University’s Graduate Program on full scholarship. Naveen noted that the women were selected due to their “extraordinary achievements in fostering growth and prosperity for those in need.”

Singularity University accepts 80 highly credentialed students for its Graduate Studies Program.  The competition is fierce to win a classroom seat to study with an incredible caliber of students and to learn from famous thought leaders. Each degree costs $25,000, bringing Intelius’ and The Worldwide Innovation Institute’s financial support of these women to $50,000.
